Is your organization in need of a speaker? I am available for keynote speeches, breakout sessions, or workshops. The topics I am able to cover align with the ones you see here, on Rivers of Thought.
Over the past 30 years as a, veteran in business, I have developed a casual, entertaining, and educational style of creating a dialogue with groups from 5 to 1,000 to help inspire, motivate, and guide. I have combined my experiences in a variety of industries with my passions for leadership, history, music, the outdoors and environment, and the lessons learned along the way. This combination in addition to my own role models, my parents—mom was an author and speaker, dad was a preacher—have created, in me, a unique style of leadership.
Some topic examples are:
Lessons from History
Everything I Learned About Leadership, I Learned from Lewis and Clark
Need to inspire your group of leaders and future leaders? Using the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition as positive (and negative) examples, together we will explore the 10 traits of a leader.
The Lewis and Clark Will Never Die Tour (Parts 1 and 2)
Want to be entertained through humor, history, and travel? Tales from 35,000 miles of traveling the Lewis and Clark Trail…by car, boat, plane, RV and on foot will make you laugh, think, and yes, maybe learn (or remember) a bit about the history of our great country.
What is “Green” and Why Should I Care?
Have a group that wants to learn more about environmental issues and how individuals can make an impact? An introduction to living a greener life and reducing our impacts on the earth (and saving some money at the same time!) will provide a greater understanding of our lives and the impacts on the planet.
Watching the River Run
Groups that want to embrace the rivers in their areas and perhaps lead revitalization efforts on their river fronts will enjoy stories from the life of a River Rat. The impacts of development on rivers and watersheds and how small changes can pay big dividends will be explored and discussed.
Transform Your IT Department
Businesses that want to derive more value from their technology investments, or Information Technology leaders that want to make more of a business impact will find valuable lessons in how to evolve from a cost center to a revenue driver.
